Christmas in Connecticut

Christmas in Connecticut

Journalist Elizabeth Lane is one of the country’s most famous food writers. In her columns, she describes herself as a hard working farm woman, taking care of her children and being an excellent cook. But this is all lies. In reality she is an unmarried New Yorker who can’t even boil an egg. The recipes come from her good friend Felix. The owner of the magazine she works for has decided that a heroic sailor will spend his Christmas on *her* farm. Miss Lane knows that her career is over if the truth comes out, but what can she do?

Christmas in Connecticut review by Soap2Day

Christmas in Connecticut Soap2Day - I liked the gorgeous play of the actors and the general atmosphere, which throughout 102 min minutes was a great background for the development of a non-banal plot.

Quite unlike other films in the genre Christmas, it was a real discovery for me, a wonderful story with incredibly interesting characters.

The star cast coped with its task really perfectly, as a result, the film became one of the most popular in the rich film news 1945.

Working with Peter Godfrey, the actors gave their all, creating a chic film that takes pride of place in its popular direction.

Barbara Stanwyck, Dennis Morgan, Dick Elliott, Frank Jenks, Jody Gilbert, Joyce Compton, Lillian Bronson, Marie Blake, Reginald Gardiner, Robert Shayne, S.Z. Sakall, Sydney Greenstreet, Una O'Connor, Walter Baldwin and their star roles in the masterpiece film will forever remain in the hearts of the audience, because it is simply impossible not to miss such a film.
